Biography

Nick Mudd is most well known for his record setting trial streak where he became the \\\"man on fire,\\\" beginning January 2016, where he WON FIVE MURDER TRIALS IN A ROW IN FOUR MONTHS. No other attorney in Kentucky in the past decade has come close to touching this record. Now he brings that experience and excellence to your case. As Nick always says: \\\"Results Matter. Period.\\\" You want someone on your side who has fought the tough cases, and who knows their way around a courtroom. You want an attorney who can prevail even under tough facts to get you the best possible result for your case. And who has the results to back it up. This time. And every time. Nick attended the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he began to develop his passion for jury trials. Under legendary trial attorney and mentor Allison Connelly, Nick won the Intrastate Mock Trial Competition, Best Trial Advocate Award, was awarded the Garmer & Prather Scholarship for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, and went on to receive the UK College of Law Most Outstanding Trial Advocate Award. Upon graduation from the UK College of Law, Nick began his legal career as an associate with well known Eastern Kentucky attorney Ned Pillersdorff of the firm Pillersdorff, DeRossett, & Lane. There he was immediately thrown into the fires of civil litigation handling environmental disaster cases of families who had been wronged by big business and big insurance companies. However, Nick knew he wanted to get in the Court Room, so he then became an Assistant Commonwealth\\\'s Attorney where he tried over 30 jury trials, including over a dozen murder cases, Fraud, Drug Trafficking and Possession, DUI, Robbery, Rape, Assault, Kidnapping, Theft, Burglary, Attempted Murder, and Felon with a Gun Trials. While there he spent time in the Economic Crimes Unit, the General Trial Unit, and finally ended his stint as Deputy Division Chief of the Violent Crimes Unit. As a prosecutor for almost 6 years, he now brings that experience to you. Nick is a Louisville, KY native who grew up in the Okalona and Highview areas. With family also from Grayson County, KY, he spent a significant portion of his childhood there as well. He attended Thomas Jefferson (TJ) Middle School, and St. X High School, where he had a 4.0 GPA. He went on to attend Transylvania University, where he was a Computer Science and Mathematics double major, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Mathematics. Prior to going to law school, Nick was a software engineer. Nick is licensed to practice in every county in the District and Circuit Courts of the State of Kentucky, and all Federal Courts of Kentucky (Federal Western and Eastern Districts). He loves nothing better at his work than to seat a jury and get into trial.
