Education
A graduate of the University of Colorado School Of Law (J.D., Order of the Coif), Claremont Graduate School (M.A., 1974) and the University of Pennsylvania (B.A., cum laude, 1971), Mr. Katz is admitted to practice in the States of New Mexico and Colorado. Locally, he has served as President of the First Judicial District of New Mexico Bar Association (1989). Statewide, he has served on the Real Estate Specialty Committee of the New Mexico Legal Specialization Board, as well as a member and past Chair of the New Mexico Business Law Section Board.

Mr. Katz has been recognized with a Martindale-Hubbell “AV” rating, by The Best Lawyers in America continuously since 1995, as a Southwest Superlawyer® and as a leading individual in Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. In 2012 and for 2018 he was selected as Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year for Santa Fe Real Estate Law.
