Biography

Chuck is one of the founding lawyers of Douglas, Leonard & Garvey, P.C. Chuck focuses his practice solely on litigation. Chuck has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 25th Edition of The Best Lawyers In America in the practice area of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. Chuck has also been named the Best Lawyers’ 2019 Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs – “Lawyer of the Year” for Concord. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and community is honored with a the “Lawyer of the Year” award. Chuck brings a unique background in representing our clients. He served as a Justice on the New Hampshire Supreme Court, our highest court in New Hampshire. Before that, he was a judge on the Superior Court trial bench. He has an “AV-Preeminent” rating, the highest rating available in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, a publication which independently rates lawyers on the basis of their peers’ opinions. Chuck was most recently appointed Chairman of the Governor’s Judicial Selection Committee. The Committee reviews judicial applications and makes recommendations to the Governor to fill judicial vacancies.
