Biography

My name is Marc E. Hart. My law firm is devoted exclusively to criminal defense, bringing 30 years of criminal trial experience to your situation. Rather than just going for the quick and easy plea, my mindset is to vigorously fight the allegations, win the case at trial, or find the leverage necessary to minimize the penalties and collateral consequences in every client’s case. Marc Hart is a trial lawyer who has practiced criminal law in Michigan for 30 years. His career started as a prosecuting attorney in Wayne County. As a prosecutor, he was privileged to be specially selected to be a member of PROB, the elite unit within the prosecutor office dedicated to investigating and prosecuting many of Detroit and Wayne County most high-profile and complex criminal cases. Those cases included premeditated murder, felony murder, major drug trafficking, serial rape, sex crimes against adults and children, gang activity, robbery, carjacking, racketeering, government and police misconduct and virtually the entire gamut of serious felony crimes that occur in a major metropolitan area. Among the hundreds of cases he handled as a prosecutor, Marc Hart was the first-ever prosecutor in the state of Michigan to secure a murder conviction in a trial where there were no eyewitnesses to the killing and no part of the victim body was ever recovered. Mr. Hart also secured the state second no body murder conviction against a man who kidnapped, murdered and disposed of the body of an infant baby, again with no eyewitnesses to the murder and where no part of the baby body was ever recovered.
